I’m Cindi Koch, Licensed Massage Therapist and creator of PowerStructure, a patented series of stretches specifically designed to align your body into its best upright position.
The PowerStructure Program was created through inductive reasoning. Hearing the same story from different people, from all walks of life and all ages, gave me the outline of a defined problem the human body is facing. Shoulder, neck and overall back pain are the most common complaints that I hear daily. My assessment: Too many of us spend much of our day sitting at a computer, driving a car and performing other activities that pull our bodies forward, creating, you guessed it, poor posture.
Listening and comparing the common threads of lifestyles, time restraints, activity levels, and discomfort levels led me to create a Universal (meaning everyone can use it) series of movements, called PowerStructure. Truly understanding a problem and what it is you want to achieve, are the first steps in solving the problem. Adopting a means to achieve the goal is the second. And then it is all about Practice! This website is meant to give you the specific tools to achieve the goal of healthy posture and an understanding of how posture relates to everyday life - Maximizing your DNA.
